VP Records and Nokia Partner to Introduce New Phone

VP Records is making a big break through in the world of technology by partnering with Nokia and introducing a new phone, the Nokia 5200, to the market, With features that will promote reggae music, this phone will give artists more global exposure.

A launch was held at Carlos Cafe, Wednesday July 4th to unveil the new phone. According to Yolan Sanders of the Kingston VP office, "The new red and white Nokia 5200 is embedded with music, music wallpaper, music videos, and ring tones from Morgans Heritage, Tanya Stephens, Richie Spice, and Wayne Wonder."

The phone will be available first in the Caribbean, through its carrier Digicel. Carlos Cafe was attractively decorated to match the phone with red and white cloth draped in tent like sections throughout. Richie Spice made a guest appearance and was in a jovial mood even though he didn't perform.

Morgans Heritage recently released their 7th album with VP Records entitled Full Circle while Tanya Stephens has generated a number of hits with her albums Rebelution and Gangsta Blues. This year Richie Spice also created quite a buzz with his new album In the Streets To Africa.

Morgans Heritage, Tanya Stephens, Richie Spice, and Wayne Wonder serve as the pioneers of a partnership that can benefit the business of Reggae Music for all, as VP Records and Nokia conquer new ideas.
