Female entertainer Spice gave Breaton Primary reasons to celebrate on Wednesday after performing at its Miss Braeton pageant.

The small-built Spice unleashed hits from her catalogue including Fight Over Man, Giddy Up and her own version of Alicia Keys' No One, which she titled No Gal.

She also challenged the students to be focused.

"You know I used to attend this school, don't you?" she asked. "And after I passed my common entrance, I went to St Catherine High School where I got eight subjects, so I am ready for the world. Therefore, I am asking that you study and you will also be ready when the time comes."

It took some effort to get the entertainer onstage, as overzealous students caused her to retreat from the venue earlier.

Rhianna Rose was the winner of this year's pageant with the runners-up being Kashay Smith and Shantelle Stewart. The prize for Rose was donated by Spice. The winners were also given certificates of participation and gift packages from Delite.
