TONY REBEL DELIVERS GREAT PERFORMANCE AT HART PLAZA

TONY REBEL DELIVERS GREAT PERFORMANCE AT HART PLAZA

Tony Rebel one of reggae?s most dynamic performers delivered on his earlier promise to give Detroit a great performance. A crowd of just under 300 watched as Tony Rebel gave his heart and soul with soul reaching conscious reggae vibes. With hits like ?To much soo soo me caan live in peace? Tony Rebel energized the Detroit crowd. At one point Tony was frustrated with the fact that the event organizers had placed barriers around the stage preventing anyone from getting too close to the stage. He called for the organizers to break down the barriers and when he received no response, Tony himself jumped off stage and proceeded to move the steel barriers which allowed the happy fans to come closer to the stage. Tony said this helps his vibe because he can feel the vibes better from the people standing so near.

In between performances Tony gave various speeches about different levels of consciousness prevalent in our society. One had to do with the fact that we as adults should not tell our children any lies, for example, ?no cow never jump over nuh moon? instead we should be teaching our children about Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King and so forth.. This speech received a big forward. He also talked about the fact that although many in the crowd did not have Rasta locks they had Rasta in their hearts.

Tony finished the night with his biggest hit ?if Jah is by my side? he must have pulled this tune up about 4 times. He even surprised us by singing this tune in Spanish , oh what a joy that was.

Tony performed for roughly 11/2 hours and every minute was well worth it. Big up to the promoters for organizing such a wonderful event.
